Last December we took on a challenge to produce the most striking Season 2 content to-date with a bunch of influencers from Bali. With the aim of building a new and locally produced in-store content package for our Bali based retailers!
After hunting through endless Instagram hashtags and YouTube vlogs, we decided to visit Kampung Pelangi, a small village in Malang East Java which is now a regional tourism hotspot, thanks to the help of social media and creators flocking there from around the world to showcase an original perspective of this foreign land.
The Central Java community, located in a southern district of Semarang, spent over $22k on the magnificent makeover in a bid to shake off its status as a degraded slum. After a group of students from a university in Malang came up with the idea to give the whole area a fresh and remarkable splash of paint in the hope to attract the attention of tourists. Since 2016 this has been a phenomenal success in boosting the local economy and providing new jobs for the local people of Malang.
We knew that having endless options of incredible backdrops and vibrant colour combinations would be very effective when combining our colourful Season 2 bracelets to various locations.

Indonesia is bursting with stunning wildlife and unique landscapes but there's nowhere quite like the vibrance and energy of Kampung Pelangi... We don't like to give away our favourite production locations too often but for any brand or influencer this is a photo mecca!
One things to take away from this trip is that... everyone needs a new look from time to time – and apparently villages are no exception.
